Based in France, 30 kms north of Paris since 1989, the Asterix Parkis built aoround the universe of Asterix, the famous comic hero created by René Goscinny and Albert Uderzo. Shows : « Révérence », a water show with dolphins and sea lions, 20 minutes / 3 performances per day at the Théâtre de Poséidon. « Chronos: Magic and Illusions », a journey through time that gives pride of place to magic tricks.
New in 2020 : The park opens a third hotel, called « les Quais de Lutèce », rated 4 stars, which join the previous on-site accomodations, to be discovered in our dedicated post : Sleeping at the Parc Astérix. The park will be open on Christmas after a successfull winter season last year.
New in 2018 : opening of an Aerobar (bar in altitude) with a breathtaking view of the park. New show « Du rififi dans la basse-cour ». A new hotel opens its doors: la « Cité suspendue » aka « Suspended City ».

New in 2014 : The Asterix Park is celebrating its 25th birthday with the launch of a new universe : « La Forêt d’Idéfix », a 5,000 m2 space dedicated to children aged 3 to 11.
New in 2013 : la Ronde des Rondins, a junior roller coaster.
New in 2012 : the fantastic Oziris is launched, a 40 meters high roller coaster.
Areas : The park is split into 6 thematic areas: Egypt, Gaul, Roman Empire, Greece and Vikings.
Height and size restrictions : More than a dozen attractions are accessible for children under the age of 6 and many areas are open to them.
Parc Astérix opens on 15th of june 2020 and the season ends on 3 January 2021. In the meantime, the park opens June to 31 August without interruption for « L’été gaulois ». It is then open on weekends in September and the first two weekends in October. The park is open again every day from October 17th to November 1st with notably « Fear on the park » for Halloween seadson. Finally reopening for Christmas season from December 19, 2020 to January 3, 2021 (except December 24 and 25 or the park is closed!) As for schedules, the classic days offer an opening from 10am to 18h or summer and some days until 22h. Night-time opening up to 1am are organised from 28th to 31st October, they require the purchase of a specific ticket.
Adult ticket price : 1-day ticket at the ticket office: 51 euros (12 years and +). Price reduced to 43 euros for a online booking here at least 7 days in advance (2020 fares). Child ticket price : 1-day ticket at the ticket office: 43 euros (from 3 to 11 years old included), reduced price if booked online here at least 7 days in advance. Free for children under 3 years old.
Cheaper ticket (called « Smart ») by buying at least 7 days in advance by Internet.
A specific offer called « Tribu » can be bought in advance on the site. Seasonal pass at a reduced price in « early booking » also.
Discount and Deals :
Many accommodation possibilities are available for stays close to the park. The « Hotel des 3 Hibou »x is the closest hotel, it is located in the forest within the park. And since 2018, the Cité Suspendue, has been added. Last but not least, In 2020, a new thematic Hotel called « Les quais de Lutèce » is launched. There are also five other hotels located less than 7 km from the park, some of which are linked to the park by a shuttle bus (5 euros return):
by car, take motorway A1, park is located between exits 7 and 8 (approx. 40 min/30 km from Paris)
by shuttle bus from Paris at a return fare of around 22 euros (adults and children) if the ticket is taken online or 23 euros on the spot, departure at 9 am from the Louvre, return at 6.30 pm or 7.30 pm on Sundays in June.
by shuttle bus from the RER station « Aéroport Charles de Gaulle », at the rate of around 8.5 euros (12 years old and over) and 7.5 euros (3 to 11 years old) for the return trip. Departures every 30 minutes for both the outward and return journey.

Please note : Baby areas are available for visitors throughout the park, it is also possible to rent a stroller for around 5 euros per day, with a deposit of 50 euros. There are ALSO picnic areas where you can eat your snack.
